1681Geoffrey Henschen dies at Antwerp. He was an assistant to Fr. Bollandus in the research on the saints.
1860The Jesuits were expelled from Sicily and all their possessions conï¬scated.
1995Henry De Decker, S.J. dies in the Cameroons. He was the first Rector of Hekima College, Nairobi, and was the Secretary of JESAM (Major Superiors of Africa) for thirteen years.
2003Ignace de la Potterie, Belgian Jesuit, Johannine scholar, dies. Professor at the Biblical Institute.
