Because the letter is celebrated on a Sunday, in the Dioceses of Southern Africa, this feast is moved to the Thursday before Corpus Christi – or – left to the discretion of the Dioecesan Bishop as when it will be celebrated in the Diocese. The feast inaugurates a triduum leading up to the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of the Lord.
* Where no rank is given, an optional memorial may be celebrated.
