The death in Canada of Enemundo Massé, the ﬁrst apostle to preach the Good News in that territory subsequently known as New France.

De Choiseul writing to d’Aubeterre, urges that the whole Society must be suppressed.

1774

Fr. Antonio Coltraro was imprisoned in Castel Sant’ Angelo for almost two years because he was a friend of the confessor of a woman who foretold the death of Pope Clement XIV.

1981

A letter of this date, from Secretary of State, Cardinal Casaroli, speaks positively of Teilhard de Chardin in celebration of the centenary of his birth (May l,1881).
