1904In Louvain, Fr. Louis de San dies. He was a great theologian of the restored Society.
1979Pope John Paul II makes a special visit to the Gregorian University. Two weeks later, the Rector, Fr. Martini is appointed Archbishop of Milan.
1994Joseph Donceel dies at Fordham University. Belgian born, he was a disciple of Marechal and wrote on philosophical psychology.
1998Leo O’Donovan, President of Georgetown U. receives Germany’s Knight Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit, for fostering relationships between Germany and the US.
