The 32nd General Congregation was formally summoned by Father General Pedro Arrupe. This Congregation is best known for Decree 4, the document on our mission today: "The mission of the Societyof Jesus today is the service of faith, of which the promotion of justice is an absolute requirement. For reconciliation with God demands the reconciliation of people with one another".
