In Rome, revolutionaries searched for hidden Jesuits at Villa Macao, the country house near Porta Pia, where long before St. Aloysius and St. John Berchmans had come with the other Jesuit scholastics for weekly recreation.

Manresa Retreat House property bought, Staten Island. Fox Hill villa. A retreat house exclusively for laymen. Under Fr. Shealy, the first retreat was given on September 8th.
