1586 | At Toledo Fr. John Manuel, Rector of the Professed House was called to his eternal reward. When there were three loaves in the house he ordered one to be given to a beggar. Presently a young man, unknown to the community, brought a plentiful supply of provisions. |
1644 | At Rome the death of Urban VIII, most friendly to the Society. 1883. Amidst the revolution in Portugal an attack is made on the Jesuit Fathers. |
