1535In Paris the first Mass of St. Peter Faber.
1586At Toledo Fr. John Manuel, Rector of the Professed House was called to his eternal reward. When there were three loaves in the house he ordered one to be given to a beggar. Presently a young man, unknown to the community, brought a plentiful supply of provisions.
1644At Rome the death of Urban VIII, most friendly to the Society. 1883. Amidst the revolution in Portugal an attack is made on the Jesuit Fathers.
1945The consecration of the chapel of La Storta. It was rebuilt by the Society after being destroyed by bombs on May 18, 1944.
2003James Gill, S.J. dies. Psychiatrist, Institute for the Study of Human Sexuality, and founder of Human Development Magazine.
