On this day in our Jesuit history...
|
| All Saints and Blesseds of the Society of Jesus. Feast. Formerly, the Feast of the Holy Relics. |
| ALL SAINTS OF THE SOCIETY OF JESUS (Feast)
Today we remember all our companions who are now face to face with their Lord in unending happiness. We call to mind the power of God shining through human weakness and the reward given to those who, in the words of the Spiritual Exercises, “faithfully labour under the banner of Christ’s cross and have entered with him into glory”. In 2014, when the Society of Jesus celebrated the second centenary of its restoration, it had fifty-six saints (including four non-Jesuit collaborators) and 148 Blessed (including one candidate).
